Canterbury Baseball Club (or Canterbury Blue Machine) is a baseball club located within the city of Canterbury Bankstown council. Established in 1927, Canterbury Baseball Club is one of Sydney's oldest clubs and has a rich history in both junior and senior competitions.

The club currently competes in both summer and winter competitions based around the St George and Cronulla regions. Our home grounds and facilities are located at McLaughlin Oval, Riverwood.

The club is at a very exciting stage as it approaches its 100th anniversary and we are aiming to continue growing our membership base in the lead up to these celebrations. With strong team representation at all levels the club can provide you with the opportunity to develop your baseball skills to the maximum potential, as well as enjoy a great social time and make new friends. We have plenty of options for you to get involved in playing, coaching or just helping with the organisation and growth of baseball in NSW.

Club Goals:

  • To promote a culture of participation and inclusion that introduces people of all ages to baseball for life – both on and off the field

  • To develop a vibrant, enjoyable and inclusive club culture that celebrates contributions and successes at all levels

  • To foster a culture of success that encourages and facilitates individuals to reach their full baseball potential

  • To deliver a quality junior development program that is attractive to current and potential participants

  • To develop a participation framework that ensures baseball as a sport of choice

  • To establish CBC as a baseball club of first choice with top facilities for all members

  • To create a financially self-supporting environment that has capacity to provide the resources for coaches, volunteers and players to develop best practice baseball programs
