Canterbury Baseball launches club centenary initiative

Updated: Jul 2, 2020

Canterbury Baseball is gearing up to celebrate 100 years in 2027, and we want you to be a part of it.

The club was founded in 1927, and has run a team every year since.

As we look to this upcoming milestone, the committee is working hard to make it special for players old and new.

Part of our centenary preparation has been a rebrand of the club logo, with a return to the team's beloved Blue Machine, and a major facelift for the clubhouse.

We are looking to re-establish our junior baseball program, and grow our seniors teams.

The second part is our Road to 100 initiative, which will aim to secure donations of $100 (for 100 years!) from members past and present, as well as generous members of the community, to help fund these fantastic changes and secure the club's financial future for another centenary.

Anyone who donates to the club through the incentive will be inducted into our Centenary Supporter Club, with their names published online, and on a board in the clubhouse, which will be presented at the celebration in 2027.
