It seems a bit odd saying this in the middle of the year, but summer season is just around the corner. That’s right, we are in full swing in getting ready for the 2023/24 CSMLBA season and we could not be more excited for this one.
Season 23/24
We are looking set to have another two teams competing this season both made up of old and new faces. We will officially kick things off in August with two pre-season training sessions to help everyone dust the cobwebs off. We will also be hosting our first social event of the season which will be a perfect chance for some of our new members to meet the rest of the club.
Ground Works
Over the past few weeks many members of the club have been dropping down to McLaughlin Oval as we completed some major works on the field to get it back up to scratch, and after spending most of the day with the bobcat in action, the field is looking tip top.
A huge thank you to all the members who have given up their time to come down and help at the fields. We could not have done it without you.
Annual General Meeting
Next month we will also be holding our clubs AGM. This will take place at 7:30pm on Tuesday 15 August (location TBC). We would love to see as many of you at the AGM as possible, and would love it even more if we had some more people join the club committee.
